Please read these terms and conditions carefully before making a booking 
  1. Canberra Placenta Services (CPS)provides placenta services including placenta encapsulation, homeopathic placenta remedies and placenta art. The encapsulation process involves steaming and dehydrating, with no additional products.
  2. Placenta encapsulation itself is experimental in nature and whilst the benefits of consuming the placenta post-birth are based on research studies, articles and testimonials from new mothers,this research is ongoing and CPS does not give any warranty or representation that these benefits are guaranteed.
  3. Clients who choose to utilize these services take full responsibility for their own health and for researching and using the remedies provided by this service.
  4. The Client acknowledges that placenta encapsulation is not currently a regulated service: CPS endeavours to provide the safest and highest standard service possible in the absence of regulation.
  5. The Client agrees that CPS is not liable and does not take responsibility for any results or effects the Client may experience before, during or after consuming the placenta.
  6. CPS recommends placenta capsules are for the Client’s own use only.
  7. All methods of decontamination and sterilization of equipment used by CPS are practiced to Australian Government Safe Food Handling and Blood Borne Pathogen guidelines and regulations.
  8. CPS takes pride in using natural techniques when preparing the placenta, however chemical disinfectants must be used to decontaminate and sterilize equipment before and after each Client.
  9. CPS aims to prepare the placenta within 2 days after the birth.However we will not be held accountable should circumstance arise where the placenta encapsulation cannot be completed until an agreed date and time.
  10. CPS does not take responsibility for damaged or lost placentas before the placenta comes into our care.
  11. CPS reserves the right to refuse processing of any placenta deemed to be unsafe due to contamination caused by improper storage or handling.
  12. CPS reserves the right to refuse processing of any placenta deemed to be unsafe due to contamination by heavy meconium staining or nicotine.
  13. If a placenta cannot be processed for reasons beyond the Client’s control, a full refund, less deposit will be made. A Placenta Planting Kit will be offered free of charge.
  14. A full refund, less deposit, will be made if a client cancels a booking prior the estimated due date.
  15. A refund will not be given if a Client cancels the booking after a placenta has been received.
